The Lakers are probably the biggest threat to the Celtics from the Western Conference if they ever make it to the finals. Either them or the rising Hornets.

The Iverson trade makes plenty of sense for Detroit. Stuckey WILL see more minutes almost immediately, and Billups has 4 years left on his contract, AI's off the books after this year. They're downgrading defensively, but Iverson can still score, and Detroit's big problem the last couple years has been offensive stagnance.

I like the way the Lakers are looking. A big surprise is the Spurs. I mean this is a team that is always in the playoffs and it's probably not going to happen this year.

I also like the Heat. I got to see Beasley play on TV for the first time and he was just as good as I expected he would be.

Its going to be an interesting season.
